Values and Ethos
Our Mission Statement is :
“I come that they may have life, and have life to the full” John 10:10
As a Catholic school we pride ourselves on the fact that school life, at Holy Rosary, is based on Christ’s love, care and compassion.
As a school we express our faith in all that we do and always try our best to ensure we make the most of everyday.
As a Catholic school we feel it is important that people see our strong religious education (Word) and our commitment to collective worship (Worship) and see the Catholic life of the school (Welcome, Welfare and Witness) in everything we do. We ensure this by embedding the 5W’s – Welcome, Welfare, Witness, Word, Worship – into every element of life at Holy Rosary.
Our Aim is:
Our aim is to develop and foster the qualities of mind, body and spirit, in ways that encourage each child to be actively involved in discovering themselves, others and the environment. Our aim is to ensure that we nurture the wholeness of each and every child.
At Holy Rosary we live by our 5 core values which support our mission statement.
These are:
Faith
Love
Joy
Committed
Belong
Our Values
At Holy Rosary we have 5 values, these values were decide by the children and staff of Holy Rosary. We strive to live with these 5 values at the heart of everything we do.
Faith
‘We have faith in God and each other.’
Matthew 21: 21-22
Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done. Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.”

Love
‘We do everything in love.’
1 John 3:18
Little children, let us love, not in words or speech, but in truth and action.
Joy
‘We find joy in all that we do.’
John 15:10
I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.

Belong
‘We belong to one family.’
Romans 12:4-5
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
Committed
‘We are committed to each other and achieving our best.’
Psalm 37:5
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.

Our Vision is:
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
