Next week – 11th-15th November is Anti Bullying week.
Odd Socks Day takes place in Anti Bullying week each year to help raise awareness of bullying. It is a day when people are encouraged to wear a pair of odd socks to celebrate individuality and allow them to express themselves buy showing how unique everyone is.
The children will be participating in activities in class during the week to highlight the different types of bullying, how it can affect them and what to do should they experience or witness bullying. They will also have a whole school assembly on Thursday afternoon – a chance to come together and explore this years Anti Bullying week theme ‘change starts with us’.
We are asking that on Tuesday 12th November the children wear odd socks. These can be of any colour. I have challenged class teachers to come up a class photograph showing off our odd socks and I am hoping they can get a little creative.
We thank you in advance for you support.
