Year 2 Victorian Day

May 6

As part of our Year 2 Victorians topic, we will be having a theme day on Wednesday 19th May.

There will be a variety of activities that the children will be able to take part in, such as handwriting using a chalkboard, arithmetic, poetry, playground games and they will even get to sample a traditional Victorian breakfast! For this reason, it is encouraged that children dress up as Victorian children.
To help give an idea of what your child could use as a costume, boys could wear a white shirt, waistcoat, loose trousers, a flat cap and black shoes (these could be their school shoes). Girls could wear a long-sleeved black or blue dress, white pinafore-style dress over the top with black shoes (again, these could be their school shoes).
Please feel free to browse the internet for any other ideas if you wish. We are not expecting you to buy any outfits, hopefully, you can find clothes from home for your child to dress up in. If you need any further help or want to ask any questions, please feel free to contact the school.
Remember to look on Twitter to see the fun we have
