Mother’s Day event

This week, we were delighted to welcome parents to Holy Rosary RC Primary to help the children make a special Mother's Day gift.

The children had a wonderful time expressing their creativity and love for their mums. They drew beautiful images, wrote heartfelt messages, and added stickers and ribbons to decorate their handmade jars.

The finished products looked absolutely fantastic and we're sure the mums will treasure them. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to celebrate the important women in their lives.

We're so proud of the effort and care the children put into these gifts. What a wonderful way to mark Mother's Day at our school! 🌺

New Attendance Penalty Notice


First offence – the first time a penalty notice is issued. The amount will be £80 per parent, per child paid within 21 days. This increases to £160 per parent, per child if paid after day 21 until day 28th. Any non-payments of the Penalty Notice may be referred to the magistrate court.


Second offence – (within 3 years) – the second time a penalty notice is issued. The amount will be £160 per parent, per child paid within 28 days. Any non-payment of the Penalty Notice may be referred to the Magistrate Court.


Third offence and any further offences (within 3 years) – the third time and offence is committed. A Penalty Notice will not be issued and the case may be presented straight to the Magistrate Court under S444 of the Education Act (1996) or any other legal interventions considered. The magistrates court can order fines up to £2500 per parent, per child.
