Year 3 linking project

What a wonderful experience our Year 3 children have had as part of the schools linking project! They have been visiting Mayfield School, getting to know their Year 3 peers and exploring each other's school environments.

This has been a truly valuable opportunity for our children to build connections beyond our own school community. They have embraced the chance to make new friends, share experiences, and learn about different cultures and perspectives.

The feedback from our children has been overwhelmingly positive - they have loved visiting Mayfield and welcoming their new friends to Holy Rosary RC Primary. Seeing the children's enthusiasm and the meaningful relationships they have formed has been a delight.

Initiatives like the schools linking project are so important in helping our children develop important social and communication skills, as well as a greater understanding and appreciation of diversity. We are incredibly proud of how our Year 3 children have represented our school and values during these visits.

This has been a fantastic experience for all involved, and we look forward to continuing to build on these connections in the future. 🤝

Attendance

New Attendance Penalty Notice


First offence – the first time a penalty notice is issued. The amount will be £80 per parent, per child paid within 21 days. This increases to £160 per parent, per child if paid after day 21 until day 28th. Any non-payments of the Penalty Notice may be referred to the magistrate court.


Second offence – (within 3 years) – the second time a penalty notice is issued. The amount will be £160 per parent, per child paid within 28 days. Any non-payment of the Penalty Notice may be referred to the Magistrate Court.


Third offence and any further offences (within 3 years) – the third time and offence is committed. A Penalty Notice will not be issued and the case may be presented straight to the Magistrate Court under S444 of the Education Act (1996) or any other legal interventions considered. The magistrates court can order fines up to £2500 per parent, per child.
