As Head of Holy Rosary, I wish you a very warm WELCOME.

Holy Rosary has a strong, Catholic ethos of which I am proud. Children at Holy Rosary are welcomed into a Catholic Faith community that promotes the Gospel Values in a loving nurturing environment.

Holy Rosary RC Primary School was opened in October 1960 by Bishop Beck and is attached to the Parish Church of the Holy Rosary. The school and church are on the same site, both situated off the Ashton Road, Oldham.

The main building of the school has KS2 and KS1 departments, a Foundation Stage Unit, a large hall and stage/dining area. Within the school grounds, there is an all-weather pitch, Foundation Stage playground and main school playground.

Year 3 & 4 Easter performance

We are so proud of our talented Year 3 and 4 children at Holy Rosary RC Primary School for their outstanding performance of the Easter story! 👏 The children have been working incredibly hard to bring this special story to life, and their dedication and passion were evident in their moving performance. It was wonderful to see the children's confidence and stage presence as they captivated the audience of parents and fellow pupils. We had multiple solo performances and even our very own technical team. These young performers should be commended for their incredible effort and for sharing the true meaning of Easter with our school community. We are grateful to have such talented children at Holy Rosary, and we look forward to many more inspiring performances in the future.

Easter Bonnet Competition Winners

We're delighted to share the results of our annual Easter Bonnet competition at Holy Rosary RC Primary School! This year, we invited parents to join their children in making these wonderful, imaginative hats. The event was a huge success, with a fantastic turnout and some truly impressive creations. Our children had a wonderful time working together with their families to design and craft their Easter bonnets. The level of creativity and attention to detail was truly impressive. We're so proud of all the participants and would like to extend a big congratulations to our winners! These Easter bonnets are a delightful celebration of the spring season and the joy of the Easter holiday. We're grateful to all the families who took the time to be a part of this special event. It's moments like these that bring our school community together and create lasting memories.

Foundation stage trip to Smithies Open Farm

We're thrilled to share the wonderful experience our Foundation stage children had on their visit to Smithills open farm today! 🌱 The children were absolutely delighted to venture out of school and this was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn about farm life and connect with nature. We're so proud of how our Foundation stage children represented Holy Rosary RC Primary School. They were well-behaved, enthusiastic, and eager to soak up all the new experiences. This trip was a wonderful way to kick off their learning journey and we can't wait to see what other adventures lie ahead! Did your child enjoy their visit to Smithills open farm? Colour Run

This week, we had a wonderful celebration of Autism Awareness Day at Holy Rosary RC Primary School! The afternoon began with a thought-provoking assembly led by our school council. They explained the "Autistic Spectrum" and how it's similar to the spectrum of colour - we all have our own unique way of perceiving the world around us. Following the assembly, the entire school community came together for a joyful Colour Run around the playground. It was a magnificent sight to see the children running and laughing, covered in a rainbow of vibrant hues. This event was a powerful reminder that diversity is something to be celebrated. At Holy Rosary, we strive to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive and feel valued for who they are. We're so proud of our school council for leading this meaningful activity and helping to spread awareness and understanding about Autism.
